The annual Hyde Street Keg Party has finally arrived! There has been debates circulating around on whether this party was going to happen due to what happened last year. Apparently 80 people needed treatment from St John and almost 20 were arrested. Hence, this year the rules changed. We had to pay ticket to enter and only limited student get to join the party. Thanks to Trish and Dulcie for getting the invite for me from residence, and it costs $2 (general ticket costs $5). Oh, and this is my first time attending this party so I can't compare with last year.
These were the themes for the party:
Kindergarten, American Tourist, 1970s Retro Olympics, Where the wild things are (Jungle safari), superheroes and super villains, Animation Nation, Golf pros and tennis hoes, War on Terror (War in the Middle East), Gentlemens Club, Lion King: Hyde Rock, Famously MortifHYDE, Mental House, "Woodstock vs Woodstock (Music festival hippies vs Bogans)", Hydewarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Prisoner Bros and Copper Hoes, Pamplona Running of the Bulls, Hawaiian Hydeaway, Rappers and Slapppers, Thrift Shop, OUSA, Carnival, Grease, Pryde of the South, Cartoon Characters, Wally's on Hyde, Geeks, Garden Party, Shipwrecked
I picked the "Golf Pros and Tennis Hoes" theme - without the racquet LOL, while Dulcie picked the "Pamplona Running of the Bulls" theme

I had so much fun!!! Can't believe I've been in Dunedin for almost 3 years and this is my first time attending the party. Although it is not as wild and chaotic, I felt safe and everything was running smoothly. I am glad that I attended this year as not much incident happen though, I saw few people got arrested. Felt a little regret that I didn't attend in my first and second year. Any how, there were drinks, sausage and grilled pork provided, so I can grab if I'm hungry or thirsty. Ambulance and police were on stand by at all times. It was so efficient. I would attend again, if I were given another chance.
