I received a text from Hoyts Reward yesterday that I can buy movie tickets for $9! It's pretty cheap here in Dunedin. Since boyfriend went to Wellington, I thought I should fill my holidays with plan!

In the morning, I went dance practices and groceries shopping for baking - planning to make egg tart and muffins wooohooo! After that, Siew Lee and I headed to Hoyts Cinema in Octagon for Ice Age 4 premiere.

We watched it at odd hours, around 3ish pm and the whole cinema was just me and Siew Lee, and an old couples. I think my laughter and loud talk annoyed them =X

After movies, Siew Lee and I went to a "romantic" Italian dinner as a part of continuation of our Exploring Foods in Dunedin plan.
We chose to dine at Etrusco. I always wanted to try there but bf wouldn't like Italian food.

I really liked the pizza. I thought the Spaghetti was just alright.

After dinner, Siew Lee and I walked to Embassy for karaoke! We were like some thieves standing outside the door, peeping, trying to break in LOL. The Embassy won't be open unless someone booked a room. It was after 20minutes or so of standing outside that the boss?(I think) came and open the room for us.

It is really expensive to sing karaoke here, so I'd only do it once in a year. They don't provide food or drinks (except H20) and it's more expensive than Malaysia =/. Luckily Kah Yenn offered a ride to send us home or not we'll be walking in cold!

I feel like I really do something and enjoy my holiday more compared to last year. I need more holidays!! 2 weeks of semester break is so unfair!

The 2012 Dunedin Midwinter Carnival was held on Sunday 24 June, 5.30pm in the Octagon following a postponement due to wet weather on the day prior. For only the second time since 1997 the Midwinter Carnival was postponed due to poor weather. The first time this happened was in 2007 and a heavy snow in Dunedin ruled out any attempt at holding the event. Since then we have been very lucky indeed - but not this year!

Though it was sunny on Saturday, the rain started pouring for the rest of the night and I had to postpone my dance practise for 2 days as well. I was supposed to lead a dance practise for Malaysian Night with Siew Lee while the leader is away but I really want to go Midwinter Carnival since it's like became our tradition =)
I was there around 6pm with boyfriend. The parade was just about to start and we are just on time! I was starving because I didn't take breakfast or lunch XD
Luckily boyfriend made a table reservation at 7pm so we could dine in after the parade and the fireworks

After tha parade, it was fireworks event!! Though it is not as big and nice as Malaysia, the feeling is different watching fireworks in Malaysia and overseas.

Bao Yin, Jia Yun and Devind came later. They missed the parade but they did not missed the fireworks.

Boyfriend and I went to Jitsu for dinner! It was so freezing outside I can't wait to get some hot foods!

I'm so hungry but after starving too long, plus cold weather, my stomach shrinks and I can't eat that much. Drank a bit of hot miso soup to warm my stomach and gave me better appetite after =) So glad that I didn't missed the Dunedin Mid Winter Festival this year! I totally forgot about it until Siew Lee reminded me! I will make sure that I set a reminder for this event next year =)

After the event, Siew Lee, Devind, and I went to boyfriend's flat and we had movie marathon! We started the movie quite late. We watched Sherlock Holmes and all of the Jurassic Park movies until around 5am? HAHA. This is what we called HOLIDAY!!!!

My blog is so dead. I know that. I have no idea where and how to start writing. This whole semester has been a roller coaster for me. It's like testing me on how well I can cope with my emotional and analytical thinking at the same time. F big time. I'll try to keep this whole story short on what happened during my missing in action period.

1) While everyone is taking 3 subject this semester, I took 4. This is because I want to compete into getting dietetics and they'll only look at our final year results. Everyone will be doing 3,3,3,3 subjects in their second and third year.What I did was 4,3,2,3. If you don't get it, nevermind LOL.

2) The total points in my 4 subject would be equal to one and half semester point. And I squeezed it all to one semester. I still remember my horrible timetable was 8am-8pm with no break AT ALL on Friday, until I went and did changes.

3) Working in food industrial kitchen as my lab. So tiring, cooking for 200-300 residents, can't even remember how many tears I shed to cut onions. I even need to memorise how to work the equipment and everything in the kitchen. Not a home kitchen but an food industrial kitchen. One of the major incident that happened during my lab was when the TOXIC + HAZARDOUS + CORROSIVE alkaline chemical cleaner ENTERS MY EYES and I had to go to EMERGENCY. It's not that bad working in a kitchen but...I just feel so tired this whole semester!! Oh, not to mentioned, it's 7-8 hours per lab.

4) Lazy. Besides studying, doing assignment, sleeping,.....I pretty much just don't feel like doing anything ELSE - including blogging. So....yeah. =)

The subjects in this semester is not difficult. It is the combination of subject that kills my brain cell. I didn't really want to work my ass off in the first semester of second year, plus, my target/aim is still in the final year. So although I DID study and handed in my assignment, I will find time to enjoy, like watching youtube videos, watching drama with boyfriend and etc.

I JUST FINISHED MY FINALS TODAY (fml it's the last day of whole uni exam as well) AND IT MARKS THE END OF MY FIRST SEMESTER WOOOOHOOOOOOO. Now I need to pray everyday that I pass every single paper. Please pray for me.

It feels weird because suddenly, I just don't know what should I do. LOL.

One thing I know for sure is ----> make my blog alive.

I might blog more than one post in a day. WOOOHOOOOOOOOO~~~~~

This year's weather treated us so nice. Though I think I can't stand cold anymore since I went back to Malaysia last year. The sudden change of temperature plus me, spamming the heater in the flat make me can't stand cold as well as last year Haha.

Anyway, me and my sam pat friend, Siew Lee decided to take photos around uni since she haven't taken any nice picture to show her family - according to her, and I need to finish up my instax film because today is the expire date.

Everyone said that Otago University is really beautiful. I didn't notice the scenery in my University because I'm so grumpy when I walked to uni everyday LOL. Just joking. I should probably start appreciating the beautiful scenery in my Uni.

PS: I can't believe I survived this whole semester.
